On Thursday morning, an undertrial prisoner admitted to the Shillong Civil Hospital allegedly committed suicide.
Robi Sunar, the dead, is suspected of hanging himself in the hospital’s restroom.
Sunar was taken to the Shillong Civil Hospital on Wednesday evening after he and two other people were arrested in Downgate, Nongpoh, for alleged narcotics trafficking. In the meantime, the event is being investigated by authorities.
