BJP Government to be boycott by Manipuri media outlets regarding on their fail to clear the advertisement bills to the media outlets in Manipur. But it will not be include the offices of governor ,the speaker, covid-19 and pandemic related news including Medical emergencies and crime related stories of law.
The Manipur media outlet decided to Boycott news which are related to the state government and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP ) over the non clearance of advertisement bills with effect April 24.
Publishers, members of Editor Guild Manipur(EGM), Manipur Hill Journalists Union (MHJU), and All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU) unites in supporting of the movement , 8 days before that movement, on April 15,they made an appeal to the Manipur government and the state units of the BJP and the Congress to clear all the pending advertisement bills by 4pm of April 23.
However in the case of Congress, by its president requested to give some time following assurance on the meeting yesterday. On the other hand, BJP has not been responded to clear all the pending advertisement bills by 4pm of April which was yesterday.
Being delayed with the due date, the Manipur media outlets taken decision to boycott related to BJP government news. The resolution of the joint meeting of media bodies yesterday has taken decision over boycotting BJP including all government advertisements and those of its authorities, cooperation like the LPD,LDA etc.
