The Kamchatka volcanic eruption response team issued a warning that a big explosion might happen at any time as they noted extremely high activity at the Shiveluch volcano in Russia. The Shiveluch volcano is one of the biggest in the far east and the most active volcano in Russia. The observatory claims that on Saturday it observed a volcanic ash plume reaching up to a height of about 13000 feet.

The observatory reported that the lava dome's expansion is continuing, along with severe fumarole activity, incandescence of the lava dome, explosions, and hot avalanches.
