Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates AIIMS Bilaspur

During his visit to Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bilaspur, which was built at a cost of over 1,470 crore to improve health services. As part of his visit, he will lay the foundation stone for projects worth over 3,650 crore, another for a national highway worth over 1,690 crore, a Medical Device Park at Nalagarh, and will inaugurate the Government Hydro Engineering College at Bandla, according to a government release.

During his visit, he would also take part in the legendary Kullu Dussehra celebrations.

During the opening event, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, and BJP President JP Nadda were also present.

According to an official release, PM Modi is visiting Himachal Pradesh to launch and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs 3,650 crore, as well as to address a public meeting in the poll-bound state.

The International Kullu Dussehra Festival will be held in Dhalpur Ground in Kullu from October 5 to 11. The festival is unique in that it is a gathering of devotees of more than 300 valley deities. It will be the first time the prime minister has attended the festivities.
