National Girl Child Day, A Day to Celebrate Girl Child;

In a country like India, it is uncommon to see the celebration of daughters. In today’s India, however, having a female child is no longer frowned upon; in fact, a girl child’s birth is honored in the same way that a male child’s birth is.

Women are no longer weak in any way; a woman has the power and strength to manage her home, children, and family while simultaneously working and earning for her family. In India, a woman is promoted as a goddess of Shakti, and she is.

However, women have been subjected to harassment and torture, both physically and mentally. These incidents should be brought to light, and the perpetrators should be punished according to the law as soon as possible, rather than allowing the cases to drag on indefinitely since this will only serve to reduce crime against women.

In India, the 24th of January is commemorated as National Girl Child Day; it is the day on which the girl child is celebrated. On National Girl Child Day, which is observed on Monday, a number of Union officials and dignitaries wished the country. Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Hardeep Puri, all Union ministers, expressed their best wishes on social media.

“Prime Minister @NarendraModi Ji transformed women’s development thinking into a determination for women-led development and opened doors of opportunity.” In today’s world, India’s daughters are shining brightly in every sector. On ‘National Girl Child Day,’ I send my warmest greetings to every daughter in India, the country’s pride,” Shah wrote on Twitter.

The goal of the day is to raise public awareness about the disparities that girls suffer in Indian culture, as well as to encourage awareness about the girl child’s rights and the importance of female education, health, and nutrition.

The day coincides with government campaigns and initiatives such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Save the Girl Child, free/subsidized education, and women’s reservations in colleges and universities.
