Bangladesh was once again shaken by the vandalism of a Hindu god idol, which has been a recurrent event in the nation.
The “Voice of Bangladeshi Hindus” Twitter account reported that on August 31, an attack and vandalism took place against the Shri Ganesh Idol at Kattali, Chittagong.
According to the tweet shared by the “Voice of Bangladesh” which claimed that the Islamic fundamentalist attacked the Ganesha idol in Kattal, Chittagong.
Following the destruction of the Ganesh Deva idol in Chittagong, Sanatan religious people approached the gate of the Kotwali police station and demonstrated there, calling for justice while shouting JaiShriRam.
Three madarsa students were apprehended by the Mongla Police in Bangladesh earlier last month for allegedly damaging Hindu deity and goddess idols in the Kainmari Temple.
The incident happened on August 6th at night.
According to sources, the attack on the temple happened after the management of the temple requested that several Muslim lads from the madarsa refrain from playing football on the area next to the temple.
In Bangladesh, there are frequent reports of Hindu temples and deities being vandalised.
A devotee of ISKCON lost his life last year while idols and pandals were vandalised during the celebration of Durga Puja.
