Petrol price has passed the 100-mark in Delhi for the 7th time in 8 days

On Tuesday, India’s fuel prices rose for the seventh time in eight days, with the government claiming that the Ukraine conflict is one of the reasons for the rise.

According to PTI, petrol prices were raised by 80 paise per litre on Tuesday, bringing the total increase to 4.80.

Petrol and diesel prices in Delhi have risen to 100.21 per litre and 91.47 per litre, respectively, as a result of the new raise. The price of petrol in Mumbai, India’s financial centre, was 115.04 per litre, while the price of diesel was 99.25 per litre.

One litre of petrol will now cost 105.94 in Chennai, while a litre of diesel will cost 96. In Kolkata, petrol costs 109.68 rupees per litre and diesel costs 94.62 rupees per litre.

On Monday, the price of gasoline was also increased by 30 paise.

For nearly four and a half months, prices remained steady, despite election campaigns and polling in five states: Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur.
