Police found a man submerged eight feet underwater in Candlewood lake

A man who drowned eight feet underwater in Candlewood Lake has been hospitalized in Brookfield after the police found him submerged in water.

The incident took place at around 6:30 p.m. according to the police they responded to reports of a missing individual who was last seen on his boat tied to his dock at 75 North Lake Shore Drive on Thursday.

When the officers arrived at the reported spot they found a man submerged approximately eight feet underwater in Candlewood Lake. A Brookfield officer jumped into the water and brought the man up to the surface. The man was taken to Danbury Hospital by Brookfield EMS.

Although the condition of the man has not been disclosed and on the other hand, an investigation has been launched for further information about the incident.
