The 36th National Games will be officially launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday during a lavish Opening Ceremony that will take place at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.
The Prime Minister will also address competitors in the National Games from all throughout the nation. Other dignitaries like the Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Anurag Thakur, will also be present during the inaugural ceremony.
The challenge of putting this together in the time we had was definitely exciting. Really looking forward to the 36th National Games’ opening ceremony, which will be held here on the TCM platform for the Sports Authority and honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present. So, sure, I’m really excited,” said Chanda Singh, CEO of XP & D, who organised the Games.
For the first time ever, the national games are being held in Gujarat. It will take place from September 29 through October 12, 2022. The largest National Games ever will take place with about 15,000 athletes, coaches, and officials competing in 36 sports disciplines from throughout the nation.
