Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Governor Valentyn Reznichenko reported that Russian forces shelled the Nikopolsky district of the region using Grad missile launchers overnight on Thursday, August 11.
At night, the Russian attacked four districts of the Dnepropetrovsk Oblast region. 120 shells of “Grad” were fired at Nikopol region which killed 2 civilians and injured 7 were injured, including a 13-year-old girl. At least 40 high-rises, three schools, several vehicles, and local shops have been damaged in the city of Nikopol, Reznichenko said.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine, our intelligence and our law enforcement agencies will not leave today’s Russian shelling of the Dnipropetrovsk region unanswered. This regular manifestation of Russian terror, just as the attacks on Mykolaiv and Kharkiv.”
This statement of Ukraine President Zelenskyy comes after the attack where thirteen people have been killed in Russian shelling overnight in Ukraine’s central-eastern Dnipropetrovsk region, not far from the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, according to a local official on Wednesday.
“This Russian war against Ukraine and against the entire free Europe began with Crimea and must end with Crimea, with its liberation.”
