Zelenskyy posted a video of Penn presenting him with the prize on Instagram. Zelenskyy could be seen turning down the trophy, but he did claim that it would remain in the war-torn nation as a testament to his confidence in Ukraine's triumph.
In the video, Penn is seen telling Zelenskyy to bring it back to Malibu after defeating Russia: "I know this is a symbolic foolish thing, but I know if this is here with you, I'll feel better and stronger for the fights." Zelenskyy modestly responded, "It's so fantastic! " as he shook hands with Penn. I am honoured. Before accepting ownership of the golden figurine, we must win.

Penn has been working on a documentary on the invasion and was among the first to travel to Ukraine when Russian troops entered the nation.
