Shah Rukh Khan and Mahesh Bhatt have been “victimised”…

Before a large crowd that included political leaders, social activists, former high court justices, and celebrities, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee referenced the “victimisation” of megastar Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai today. She called the BJP a “cruel and undemocratic party,” emphasized the importance of unity, and solicited wisdom and direction for the next battle.

During her two-day visit to the state, the TMC supremo made a dig at the opposition BJP and its leadership.

“Manpower, not muscle power, is valued in India. The BJP is a harsh, undemocratic party. We will succeed if we work together “declared the Trinamool Congress chief, who is in the state for a two-day visit.

“You have been victimised, Mahesh ji (director Mahesh Bhatt), as has Shah Rukh Khan. We must struggle and speak up whenever possible if we are to succeed “according to Ms. Banerjee.

She noted that there is already a “bridge” between Bengal and Maharashtra, referencing Bengal’s legendary poet Rabindranath Tagore and his poem on Maratha monarch Shivaji.

Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee’s landslide victory over the BJP’s massive election machine has propelled her to global prominence. It also scored a huge success in Meghalaya, where 12 Congress MPs defected to the TMC. And, with a constant stream of leaders joining her party – primarily at the expense of the Congress – she appears to be aiming for the political space inhabited by the Congress and positioning herself to lead a united opposition attack against the BJP in 2024.
