According to a Taliban-appointed spokesman for the Kabul police commander, a suicide bomber targeted an education center in a Shiite neighborhood of the Afghan capital on Friday, killing 19 people and injuring 27 others. According to the spokesperson, Khalid Zadran, the explosion within the facility in Kabul’s Dashti Barchi district happened early in the day.
Abdul Nafi Takor, a Taliban-appointed spokesman for the Interior Ministry, had stated that “our teams have sent at the location of the blast to find out additional facts.”
Since the Taliban assumed power, there has been a constant stream of bloodshed, including this bombing. In the region, which is primarily occupied by members of Afghanistan’s minority Shiite community, no one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
