The Neptune Cruise Missile hits Russian warship Moskva

Russia’s Defence Ministry has stated that the missile cruiser “Moskva” has been seriously damaged. Moskva was the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet and was leading Naval assaults in Ukraine whilst Russia has increased fatal assaults on the Eastern city of Kharkiv.

Russia claims it was an ammunition explosion due to which the fire is caused. While the Ukrainians stated that it was a planned strike using Neptune anti-ship cruise missiles.

According to the Ukranian Ministry of Defence , the Neptune is a coastal antiship cruise missile which is capable of destruction of Naval vessels in a range of 300 Km. Ironically the design of this missile is based on a Russia Kh-35 cruise missile which goes by the NATO name AS-20 Kayak.

There are visuals of a ship on fire which is claimed to be of the Russian Black Sea Fleet Flagship Moskva . But the Russian Navy has not confirmed with the Ukranian Reports on the Moskva. The Russian Navy has only acknowledged that the ship has suffered damage.
