The OTT version of Brahmastra clearly depicts Deepika Padukone as Ranbir Kapoor's mother.

The concerns about who will play Ranbir Kapoor's mother Amrita in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part 2- Dev' were put to rest as the film's OTT version revealed Deepika Padukone. Brahmastra: Part One Shiva, which premiered on Netflix on November 4, was released on September 9. Some fans who saw Brahmastra Part I in theatres claimed to have seen Deepika in the film. Others who watched it in 2D stated the actress was barely discernible.

However, the OTT version dispelled any doubt. Deepika can be seen in one of the shots, carrying baby Shiva in her hands. This scene follows immediately after the intermission.

Fans confirmed Deepika after seeing the film on Hotstar and filled social media with their remarks.

Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is the first instalment of Ayan Mukerji's intended trilogy in the Astraverse. Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni also appear in the film. The plot of Brahmastra follows Shiva, a DJ who discovers his odd affinity to the element of fire. He also possesses the ability to awaken the Brahmastra, a supernatural weapon claimed to be capable of destroying creation and vanquishing all things. Junoon, the queen of dark forces, on the other side, is also on a journey to obtain the Brahmastra.
