The phrase is "Unko khud 1-2 wicket lete huye sharam aa rahi thi." Ashwin's shocking sentence from Kapil Dev: "He was covering his face."
Former India captain Kapil Dev is not convinced of R Ashwin's abilities in T20I cricket.

R Ashwin is having a wonderful time rejoining the Indian limited-overs team. The off-spinner made his comeback into the T20 fold during last year's T20 World Cup after a protracted absence, and is now a regular member of India's Playing XI thanks to the management's immense faith in his abilities, which even led Yuzvendra Chahal, India's, to play for Ashwin. One wrist-spinner who has yet to play a single game in the current World Cup is warming the bench. As the preferred bowler over Chahal, Ashwin has participated in all five Super 12 games for India, scooping up six wickets and bowling sensibly.
Kapil Dev, a former captain of India, is not confident in Ashwin's T20I cricket skills. In a conversation, Kapil brought up the India spinner's lack of confidence and belief despite his success in taking wickets. Kapil even said that some of the wickets Ashwin had taken in the competition were primarily the result of batsmen errors rather than the other way around.
"Up until now, Ashwin hasn't given me the confidence," said the batsman. "He picked up wickets today, but it didn't look as if he got them. In fact, batsmen iss tarah out huye ki unhe khud bhi 1-2 wickets lete huye sharam aa rahi thi."
His face was being covered. Naturally, gaining wickets gives you that confidence, but the Ashwin we know hasn't displayed the same rhythm "In regards to the Ashwin vs Chahal debate, Kapil believes that although the odds are currently stacked in the off-favor, spinner's one should not completely rule out the possibility of India springing in a surprise in the form of Chahal, as he said on ABP News.On current form, Ashwin is likely to be persisted with for India's semifinal match against England at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday.
"Depending on how the squad is led. It's positive that they believe in Ashwin. He has participated in the entire event, so if necessary, he can adapt.
But the opposition can always use the wrist-spinner if they want to surprise you (Chahal). Kapil continued, "Whoever earns the management's and captain's trust will play.
