Three infants among six individuals died of Covid-19 infection in Meghalaya

Three infants were among the six individuals in Meghalaya who died of the infection on Thursday.

 COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya increased to 89,839 on Thursday, according to a senior health official, with 288 more persons testing positive for the infection than the previous day.

According to Health Services Director Dr. Aman War, six more patients died as a result of the infection, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths in the northeastern state to 1,509.

Three infants, aged two months, seven months, and eleven days, died as a result of the infection, according to sources.

The district of East Khasi Hills, which includes Shillong, had the newest cases, with 197, followed by West Garo Hills with 38, and Ri-Bhoi with 13.

There are currently 2,415 ongoing cases in the state, with 85,915 people having recovered so far.
