On Friday, tension grew during the Ganesh procession at MJ Market when a TRS representative challenged Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on the dais and attempted to knock the microphone out of his hands. An official from the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti (BGUS) was speaking to the crowd when a local TRS representative ascended the dais and questioned Sarma about his prior remarks.
He also made an attempt to move the microphone. The TRS leader was seized by BGUS officials, who then sped off with him. In the location, which was crowded with worshippers taking part in the yearly parade, the incident caused tension. Nand Kishore, the head of the TRS, was taken into jail by police and sent to a police station. In his speech, the chief minister of Assam criticised Telangana’s chief minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, and claimed that only one family in Telangana is content. He had previously prayed at the Bhagyalaxmi temple at Charminar. Police prohibited him from speaking to the crowd there even though he wished to do so on the grounds that speeches are not permitted there.
