Kohli transforms Kishore Kumar’s old cottage into a posh restaurant

Virat Kohli, the star Indian batsman, has renovated iconic singer Kishore Kumar’s former home — ‘Gouri Kunj’ — into a posh restaurant, and he showed off his new endeavour to fans on Wednesday. The late great singer’s former home, ‘Gouri Kunj,’ will now be known as the ‘One8 Commune.’ In terms of food, the restaurant in Juhu, Mumbai, pledges to cater to every community.

Kohli can be seen giving a tour to prominent actor-anchor Manish Paul in a video uploaded on the ‘One8 Commune’ YouTube channel, as the two discuss their distinct culinary memories. They also have some fun with idiotic charades. The 33-year-old batter also stated that the cuisine has been given top priority in order to entice guests to return more than once. When asked about the venue, Kohli stated that he is a tremendous fan of Kishore Kumar and described the singer as charming. He also performed a verse from Kishore Kumar’s hit song “Mere Mehboob Qayamat Hogi.”

“His songs have had a profound impact on me. When someone once asked who I’d most like to meet, I always replied Kishore Da because he was so charismatic “In the video, the cricketer can be heard stating. The batsman used his personal social media account to announce his project. “Lots of communication, laughter, and good times! Watch the exclusive video of us introducing our newest community in Juhu, which will debut on October 8th “Kohli sent a message and a video on his Instagram page.

Notably, Kohli owns a chain of eateries under the same name, so this is not the first time he has dabbled in the hospitality industry. There are locations of the chain in Delhi, Kolkata, and Pune. The former Indian cricketer also runs other enterprises, including ones selling shoes, apparel, and other goods. The T20 World Cup, starting on October 16 in Australia, will see Kohli in action after he missed India’s final T20 International match against South Africa. On October 23 in Melbourne, India will face off against archrival Pakistan.
