According to the most recent supplemental data from the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) for July 2020-June 2021, Meghalaya has the greatest female to male workers ratio of any state, at 169.8 percent, followed by Kerala (101.6 percent).
According to the poll, Meghalaya has a 44.8 percent female to male worker ratio among lawmakers, senior officials, and managers. According to a government survey, Mizoram has the highest (70 percent) ratio in this category, followed by Sikkim (48.2 percent) and Manipur (45.1 percent). Meghalaya has a 42.5 percent female labour force participation rate compared to male labour force participation rate.
The percentage of female workers of age 25 and above who have graduation or post-graduate degrees among total workers of this age group is 3.9% in Meghalaya.
PLFS was launched by the National Statistical Office (NSO) in April 2017. According to the survey, 14 quarterly bulletins of PLFS covering the quarters ending December 2018 to March 2022 have already been published.
At 40.8%, Mizoram has the highest proportion of women in managerial jobs, followed by Sikkim at 32.5% and Meghalaya at 31%.
Female workers working in managerial positions represented 18% of the total workers in usual status at the national level.
Additionally, 22.2% more female workers than males in usual status worked as legislators, senior officials, and managers.
