A 12-year-old cancer patient’s spirits were raised by the Prayagraj police, who gave him the title of Additional Director General (ADG) of the district for the day. The present included a body kit for the young man, Harsh Dubey, who lives in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The 12-year-old perched on ADG’s chair and perused the documents while asking questions about how the police operated.
A salute was also given to him by the police officers on duty. The “little ADG” was photographed with top police officers. Harsh’s father is an e-rickshaw driver. When he noticed his son sitting on chair of ADG, the ADG Prem Prakash said, “When I came to know about the plight of the 12-year-old boy suffering from cancer through the social workers helping cancer patients in the city, I then decided to take measures to boost the morale of the minor boy.”
All tasks that an ADG rank police official was performing in his office were completed by Harsh. His father commended senior police officers, the medical staff caring for his son, and social activist Pankaj Rizwani for their efforts to support his son’s quick recovery and good attitude. The medical staff promised the young kid complete medical care as well.
B. Paul, a senior oncologist at Kamla Nehru Hospital and recipient of the Padma Shree award, who is currently treating the youngster, stated: “Patients with cancer need to be courageous and patient. Although cancer is seen as an incurable illness, it is treatable if the patient receives the proper care at the appropriate time.”
