Two years back India’s entertainment industry was rocked by the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, which shocked the entire nation. The strange circumstances surrounding his death, which the authorities determined to be a suicide, prompted the launch of an inquiry by the Enforcement Directorate and the Narcotics Control Bureau.
Several fresh developments on the drug case connected to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death have emerged during the past few weeks, despite the fact that the cases have been ongoing for more than two years. While some changes were well received by his supporters, others received harsh criticism from his friends and family.
The Bombay High Court granted Siddharth Pithani’s request for bail after he was a former roommate of Sushant Singh Rajput. Pithani was detained by authorities in connection with the NCB-led narcotics investigation into the actor’s passing.
Rhea Chakraborty, Rajput’s ex-girlfriend who is now on bail, is also charged in the case. Pithani was granted bail by Justice Bharati Dangre’s single bench in exchange for a 50,000 rupee bond.
The NCB decided to bring new draught charges in the narcotics case against Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty more than two years after his passing. An accusation of drug consumption has been made.
Draft accusations against Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik include buying drugs and paying for other illegal substances for the late actor Rajput.
On July 12, the subject was scheduled for hearing by special judge V G Raghuwanshi, who hears matters involving the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
