19 Kg LPG Cylinders Price Reduced; Oil price dropped ahead of OPEC meeting

In the midst of opposition demonstrations in Parliament, the price of a commercial LPG cylinder was dropped by 36 Rupees on Monday, in accordance with a drop in worldwide pricing. Hotels, restaurants, and other commercial facilities that use gas cylinders will gain from the price change. However, the price of domestic LPG cylinders used in houses has not changed.

This is the fourth price drop in four months for LPG gas cylinders in India. Earlier this month, the national government reduced the cost of 19 kilogramme commercial LPG cylinders by Rs135 per cylinder.

Meanwhile, on July 7, the price of a 14.2 kilogramme household LPG cylinder was raised by Rs 50.

Oil prices fell early Monday as investors braced for this week’s meeting of OPEC and other key producers to discuss supply changes. In the United States, Brent crude futures fell 63 cents, or 0.6%, to $103.34 a barrel. West Texas Intermediate crude was trading at $97.87 a barrel, down 75 cents, or 0.7%, from its session low of $97.55 when trading began in Asia.
