Education system in rural communities has the opportunity to build a child’s capacity and knowledge in the rural populace, also helping them to make informed decisions in all aspects of life. Now what if the education’s care takers are misusing this power for their betterment??
In a viral video of Jehanabad on 29th of July, the children of a government school can be seen working in different ways like labourers by the Principal of the school. The scene came into light when a person created a video of the scenario and posted it on social media. You can see the kids in the video, one group digging the big area of land and the other group cutting out wood from a broken branch. And after getting interrogated with the reporter, about the kids working in this way in public wearing the school uniform, the Principal in reply said that “Sir thoda boht kaam to karwa dete hai hmlog but we are not taking work from them, the entire day, as it’s rainy season and we are not getting labourers so the kids themself decided to help us in this way, also these kind of activities are useful for kids and as a mentor we get to know about what he/she can do out of capabilities.” To watch the complete video please scroll down.
