There is one relationship that excels all others. It’s the bond between a mother and her children. Nothing compares to a mother’s unending love, dedication, and devotion to her children. From the moment a child is born, the mother works tirelessly to ensure that her children are safe at all times and that their personalities are shaped to help them overcome challenges in life. Mother’s Day is observed to honor all mothers.
A mother is someone who puts their children’s needs ahead of her own, even if it means sacrificing her own life. She wraps herself around her kids like a blanket. The world may break apart at times, but a mother will never do so until she breathes her final breath. When a mother is with her child, the child feels protected from the outside world.
Mother’s Day is celebrated in several nations. In certain nations, however, it is not observed on the same day. It’s observed on the second Sunday of May in numerous countries. India is one such example. In India, Mother’s Day is observed on May 8 this year.
Because of a mother’s tireless efforts, most US states began honoring Mother’s Day as a local holiday by 1911, and West Virginia, Jarvis’ home state, was the first to do so in 1910. After Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of the United States of America, signed the proclamation in 1914, the second Sunday in May was officially established as Mother’s Day in the United States and made a national holiday. As a result, the current Mother’s Day was born in the United States, and countries including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Italy, Singapore, Belgium, and many others have chosen the same date.
Mother’s Day is a wonderful day for all mothers, who sometimes go unnoticed. It’s a day to honor every mother’s incalculable and selfless contributions to the success of her children. It’s also a day to express gratitude for her efforts.
However, mothers should not get a specific day to celebrate since we would not be who we are today if it weren’t for our mothers. Mothers are precious and dear to our hearts and so every day should be commemorated as ‘Mother’s Day.’
