In an unusual event, a woman in Uttar Pradesh composed a suicide note in which she stated that she was terminating her life as well as her child's because the police did not act on her dowry complaint, and the note quickly went viral on social media. Later, the woman was discovered alive and unaware that the police had already filed a chargesheet in court under the Dowry Prevention Act and other Indian Penal Code sections based on the investigation of her FIR.
The photograph of the scribbled suicide note, according to authorities, went viral on Saturday. The note was addressed to her father, in which she stated that she was depressed because the police had not taken action on her complaint, and that she and her kid would be dead by the time the letter reached him. Along with the card, a typed remark penned by someone became viral. According to the note, the woman was driven to this situation due to Gosainganj police laxity, and she was saved by some labourers while attempting to jump from a bridge in Gosainganj.
According to senior officers, the Gosainganj police were notified as soon as they learned about the viral post. "We discovered she was with her father. She stated that she drafted the note after learning that her dowry case had been dismissed. When we informed her the truth, she felt bad "Deepak Pandey, SHO Gosainganj He noted that she did not provide a clear explanation for how the note got viral.
