An earthquake measuring 5.9 on Richter Scale hits Afghanistan Rocked Northern India
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 hit Afghanistan-Tajikistan Border Region at 9:45 am today, tremors felt in parts of North India kashmir, Delhi-NCR.
According to the NCS, the epicentre of the quake was also 259km northeast of Afghanitan’s capital city Kabul, 346 km north-northwest of Islamabad in Pakistan and 422 km northwest of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir.
Another quake of 3.8 magnitude had also been reported from Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province today.
As per the review shared by the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the quake had a magnitude of 5.7 on the Richter scale.
