Virender Sehwag, a former Indian cricketer, posted a sorrowful tweet from Sidhu Moose Wala’s funeral, which included photos of the Punjabi singer’s parents. Sidhu, a singer and Congress leader, was assassinated in Punjab’s Mansa district on Sunday, May 29, a day after the state government removed his security. Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moose Wala, ran for the Congress in the Punjab assembly elections earlier this year but lost to AAP candidate Vijay Singla.
The killing of the iconic musician has sparked outrage in Punjab, putting the AAP administration in the crosshairs. Many athletes have expressed their condolences for Sidhu’s death, including cricketers Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, and Shikhar Dhawan.
On Tuesday, May 31, Sehwag took to Twitter to share a photo of Sidhu’s parents crying during his funeral. “Parental agony is unfathomable. May no mother or father experience the heartbreak of losing a child so young. May Waheguru bless the family and provide them with strength ” posted by Sehwag.
