Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi chief minister, said that he had tested positive for Covid-19. On Twitter, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief stated that he was isolating himself at home. He has been to election-bound states such as Goa and Punjab to campaign for his party. He also requested those who came in contact with him must isolate themselves and get tested for the virus.
On the heels of Omicron, an increase in Covid-19 infection has been seen in Delhi. The severely modified virus was discovered in 81 percent of the samples sent for genome sequencing.
