ASSAM CM INAUGURATES AUDIO-VISUAL HUB IN JYOTI CHITRABAN FILM STUDIO

Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Bishwa Sarma inaugurated an audio-visual hub at Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio. With the audio-visual center now the film makers across Assam and other Northeastern states will be able to do the post-production work of their movies without going outside the region.

The filmmakers will be benifitted as they now can add the latest audio-visual effect to their movies at subsidised rates.

Himanta Bishwa Sarma tweeted that he is happy to dedicate a studio-of-the-art audio-visual hub at Jyoti Chitaban Film Studio.

The government of Assam established the Film Studio in the year 1961 at Kahilipara in Guwahati. The studio started functioning in the year 1968 with little resources. The studio was then converted into a Govt. controlled registered Society in 1973. It recieved financial support from the state government as well as central government due to which the Society improved and now has almost every modern filmmaking resources.
