Assam Uber Driver fights over the payment with his Passengers in Guwahati
An Uber driver in Assam quarreled over the payment with his two passengers who happened to be journalists later police arrested him in Guwahati. An Uber driver allegedly beat one of them with a shaft and abused them, on Saturday.
The two passengers, Mohd Abuzar Choudhary and Nikita Jain said they had booked an Uber for Kamakya in Guwahati where the payment has to be paid online however, the driver want cash from them after they refused to pay cash the driver was outrageously aggressive and beat Mohd Abuzar even deliver the racial comments on them he tried to run over his car on Abuzar.
“We had booked an Uber for Kamakhya in Guwahati. The online was payment but he wanted cash. He then got aggressive and beat Mohd Abuzar with a rod. When we said we will file a complaint he tried to run over my colleague with his car. He also called us Bangladeshi” Jain wrote on Twitter tagging Assam police.
One of the journalists even shares a video of a driver who furiously driven away with the vehicle which is almost crashing a person who has been recording a video of him.
Based on a complaint written on Twitter by Nikita Jain the Assam Police in response to her tweets initiates to take action against the Uber Driver who allegedly assaulted them and attempted to run the vehicle over her colleague. Within a few hours, the Uber driver has been caught by the Assam police.
