CM of Sikkim diagnosed with typhoid is undergoing medical treatment

Prem Singh Tamang, the chief minister of Sikkim, revealed on Saturday that he has been diagnosed with typhoid. According to a senior member of the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), Tamang was recovering at his home, and a medical staff from the STNM Hospital was keeping an eye on his health.

The chief minister posted on social media, “I would like to inform you my dear people of Sikkim that I have been diagnosed with typhoid.” Tamang claimed that although eagerly anticipating taking part in the Indra Jatra celebrations, his health prevented him from doing so. In order to attend the Pang Lhabsol celebrations and the public meeting scheduled for Sunday, he also postponed his trip to Rabong in South Sikkim.
