According to a claim in the New York Post, which was based on a remark made by US-based researcher Andrew Huff in the British daily The Sun, Covid was stolen from the state-funded and state-run Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) two years ago. Epidemiologist Andrew Huff asserts that the pandemic was brought on by the US government's funding of coronaviruses in China in his most recent book, "The Truth About Wuhan."
Andrew Huff, a former vice president of the EcoHealth Alliance, a New York-based nonprofit organisation that researches infectious diseases, is reportedly mentioned in the New York Post article.
According to Andrew Huff and the New York Post, China's gain-of-function tests were carried out with insufficient protection, which led to a leak at the Wuhan lab.
