Curfew Imposed in Ukraine; Petitioned Filed in International Court of Justice

Ukrainian forces put up a valiant fight to block the Russian military’s assault on Kyiv, which is being bombarded with artillery and airstrikes. As Russian forces draw in, Kyiv has imposed a curfew and citizens have been ordered to remain indoors and not even open their widows until Monday. With his country under siege, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky turned down a US offer to escape on Saturday, claiming that he requires ammunition more than a trip. Thousands more Ukrainians, on the other hand, are fleeing the nation due to a conflict.

France, the United States, and Germany have all offered military aid to Ukraine in order to help it fend off the Russian invasion. Both Finland and Belgium have decided to close their airspace to Russian planes.

In the meantime, “Ukraine has petitioned the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against Russia. Russia must be held accountable for using genocide as a justification for invasion. We are requesting an immediate order for Russia to suspend military action, and we anticipate that proceedings will begin next week “In a tweet, Zelenskyy said.
