Arunachal Pradesh records highest single-day spike in July With 80 new Covid cases
The number of Covid-19 cases in Arunachal Pradesh increased to 80 on Saturday, the greatest one-day increase this month, bringing the total to 65,231, according to a senior health official.
State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr. Lobsang Jampa said that the death toll was still 296 and that no fresh fatalities had been reported in the previous day.
Similar to the rest of the nation, Arunachal, which had been virus-free for a few months, has seen an increase in Covid-19 infections beginning July 1, according to the SSO.
The Itanagar Capital Region reported 29 of the new cases, followed by Lower Subansiri and Namsai with eight each.
There are currently 318 instances that are ongoing in the state, while 64,617 people, including 48 on Friday, have recovered.
After 437 samples were examined, the new cases were found.
