Dallas police arrested a man for damaging worth $5 million pieces from the Dallas Museum of Art
Worth $5 million pieces were damaged in the Dallas Museum of Art after a 21-year-old man has been reported by the security of that museum of breaking into it and he was arrested on Wednesday for his deeds.
The young man has been identified by the Dallas police department as Brian Hernandez who broke into the museum shortly before 10 p.m. and began a destructive rampage, police. He allegedly broke into a display case and smashed a 6th century B.C. Greek amphora and a Greek pot dating to 450 B.C. and worth about $5 million. Massive damages and breaking into the well-protected area by the government have been ruined leading to his arrest.
He was charged with criminal mischief and faces five years to life in prison, for the actions he conducted and destroying the 6th century B.C., worth about $100,000, and a ceramic Caddo effigy bottle valued at about $10,000.
Brian was booked Thursday into the Dallas County jail with a bond set at $100,000. It was not immediately clear if he had kept an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
Following this incident, a few days earlier in Paris at Louvre Museum a man disguised as an old woman in a wheelchair threw a piece of cake at the protective glass surrounding the famed painting of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
