On Monday evening, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal had a Twitter fight over their respective governments’ lockdown management of the Covid-19 outbreak.
In a tweet, Yogi Adityanath said, “Listen Kejriwal, you forced the workers of Uttar Pradesh to leave Delhi while the entire human race was groaning under the pain of Corona.”

Announcing that buses are headed to Anand Vihar, Yogi Adityanath further said, “There will be buses going for UP-Bihar beyond that. The electricity and water connection was cut and the sleeping people were collected and sent to the border by buses, the UP government arranged buses for the migrant laborers and brought them back safely.”
He responded by saying, “Listen Yogi, you just let it go. Just like the dead bodies of the people of UP were floating in the river, you were giving ads of your false applause in the Times magazine by spending crores of rupees.
Reacting to this, Arvind Kejriwal said, “Listen Yogi, you just let it be. I have never experienced such heartlessness and cruelty as that of you.”
In a parliamentary speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a swipe at the opposition AAP government, saying that during the Covid-19 virus outbreak, the Delhi government went to every poor people’s house who were migrant laborers from other states such as UP, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and asked these innocent people to leave and return to their native places.
They moved a large number of individuals in the middle of nowhere and abandoned them to their fate. When these persons returned to their homes in UP, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and other regions without following any covid precautions, they aided the virus’s rapid spread in areas where it had previously been unable to do harm, stated the PM.
The Delhi CM responded by saying that whatever the PM is saying is incorrect, that as the Prime Minister of a country, he has no right to say so, and that he should respect the people who suffered during the pandemic.
