Durand Cup To Start On August 16: Guwahati to inaugurate the tournament
The 131st Durand Cup will commence on August 16th. The competition will be inaugurated by Assam’s Chief Minister at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati. NEUFC, Services, Kerala Blasters, and Odisha FC will compete. And will be held at three locations: Kolkata, Guwahati, and Imphal.
The Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati and the Khuman Lampak Stadium in Imphal will be the tournament’s newest hosts, joining the Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata and the Naihati Stadium in West Bengal’s North 24-Paraganas region. Guwahati and Imphal will each host one of the four groups and ten games.
Kolkata will host a total of ten Durand Cup matches, including the opening game on August 16th between ATK Mohun Bagan and East Bengal, as well as all seven knockout games. The finals will be held on September 18th.
