In the nation’s capital, five classmates of a Class 10 student, fatally stabbed their classmate who was 17 years old, according to the police. Usha Rangnani, the deputy commissioner of police for the northwest, reported that on September 29, the Adarsh Nagar police station received a PCR call about a student who had been stabbed by other students. The police staff then arrived at the scene, and the injured person, Deepanshu, a resident of Burari, was taken to the hospital.
The DCP stated that due to multiple stab wounds, “he was confirmed dead by doctors during treatment.”
As a result, the police opened an investigation at the Adarsh Nagar police station and filed a case under sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), and 34 (common intention). It turned out that the deceased had a dispute with the five accused classmates at their school, and as they were leaving for home, they killed him as retaliation.
The senior official claimed that during the inquiry, CCTV footage was analyzed and that five minors were detained in Lal Bagh, Azadpur, within two hours of the occurrence on the basis of local information. The officer added that more investigation into the incident is ongoing and mentioned that the button-activated knife used in the offense has also been found.
