Petrol and gasoline prices were increased by 80 paise a litre in India on Saturday, making fuel a little more expensive. This is the country’s tenth price increase in the past 12 days, following a four-month period of price stability. The administration has emphasized that the price increase is related to the Ukraine conflict, which has resulted in various sanctions against Russia.
According to news agency PTI, the new increase brings the total increase in pricing to Rs7.20 per litre. Notably, the cost of gasoline and diesel per litre varies from state to state, based on local taxation.
After a new spike, petrol in Delhi will now cost 102.61 per litre and diesel will cost 93.87 per litre. Both fuel and diesel prices have increased by 85 paise in Mumbai, the country’s financial hub. Petrol will cost 117.57 cents per litre, while diesel will cost 101.79 cents per litre.
