Gang Rape Survivor From Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir Seeks PM Modi’s Help

In Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), a gang rape survivor who has been seeking justice for the past seven years is now appealing to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a shelter and protection since she and her children face life-threatening situations.

Maria Tahir stated in a heartfelt video message: “For the past seven years, I’ve been a gang rape victim seeking for justice. The police, governments, and judiciary in the PoJK have all failed to provide justice to me “,

She went on to say: “I’m pleading with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to let us visit his country through this video. My kids’ lives are in danger. Choudhary Tariq Farooq, a local politician, and the local police will kill me and my children at any time. I’d like to express my request to Prime Minister Modi to provide us with shelter and security “,

Maria has been chasing down those responsible for the horrible incident in 2015 as she described the incident. “Haroon Rashid, Mamoon Rashid, Jameel Shafi, Waqas Ashraf, Sanam Haroon, and three other people were complicit in a crime against me,” she claimed.

She tried to get justice by approaching the police and local officials, but she was unsuccessful. She even wrote many letters to local officials, including the Chief Justice of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir
