Girl commits suicide when a stray dog she used to pet died

A street dog that was frequently fed by a 19-year-old girl who had passed NEET this year and was about to begin counselling at a college in Mumbai committed suicide by jumping to her death from a water tank. Gauri Tyagi's neighbours claimed that she loved animals and regularly fed stray animals. When she went for a walk on Thursday, she discovered that the dog had been struck by a car. She tried to preserve it after bringing it home, but the animal passed away.

Gauri was so upset that she declined to eat that night's dinner. The following day, she scaled a water tank 300 metres from her home and leaped off. She passed away from her wounds in a hospital, and soon after, her family had her cremated. 

Gauri saw a hurt stray on Thursday and carried it home, a police officer said in a statement to TOI on Saturday. She also telephoned a veterinarian. Although the dog was in great suffering, it passed away in front of her. She was comforted by her granny and others. The cop said, "The following morning about 9.45am, Gauri fed the other stray animals and left the house. Later, a few neighbourhood residents discovered her laying in a bloody pool near to an overhanging water tank. The girl's family informed the police that they do not want to pursue the case when a police team visited the scene, according to Daurala circle officer Abhishek Patel.
