Guneet Monga describes wedding at 39 age, her relatives as saying, "Beta shadi nahi ki."

Before getting married to her fiancé Sunny Kapoor, Guneet Monga has told her love story. After seeing Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, she admitted that she had been searching for her Raj and is now, at the age of 39, finally getting married. She also swore at her figure, intelligence, speaking style, education, and work for making her worry whether she would ever discover "the actual hero" of her movie. She wrote, "DDLJ ruined me... Since I was 18 years old, I, like every other female growing up in the 1990s, have been searching for my Raj nonstop. Once I found someone I liked, I immediately hurried to tell my buddies.She said, "Everyone would always tell me that the right person would come into my life at the appropriate moment, and this bothered me the most! Why in the world hasn't my time come yet? It's already been 40 years; technically, it's been 39, but a round number seems nicer. And each time a member of my extended family inquired about my marital status, "Beta shaadi nahi ki," I would respond, "Koi dhoond do, kal karloongi," to which they would never respond. "Beta hum kahan se dhoondhein... tum toh film industry mein ho na," is all that is needed. Now, I'm also at fault for that. “Honestly, I have cursed my body, my intelligence, my way of talking, my education, my middle-class life and even my job designation to be able to find someone! Wait, did I tell you, I have also tried missing the last Euro train but wahan pe door automatic shut hotey hain (the doors shut automatically there) and no one keeps their hand out to pull you in!
