The Assam government has taken a big step forward in reducing traffic congestion on a budget. The Assam government intends to build a passenger ropeway between the LGBI Airport and Guwahati City. On Monday, April 11, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said this when he released the BJP’s Sankalp Patra for the GMC polls.
According to CM Sarma, a prestigious firm has been hired to advise on the passenger ropeway’s building plan.
This decision was made in order to keep the city’s traffic flowing freely. In addition, the government has chosen to implement a traffic control system that is integrated.
The objective, according to Himanta Biswa Sarma, is to link the LGBI airport to specific locations within the city. “This is not a dream,” Assam CM stated. This is already possible in Varanasi. The passenger traffic system for ropeways can be developed in the most cost-effective manner.”
