Hindu outfit's warning to Vir Das after Bengaluru show deferred...

The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) announced on Saturday that it will continue to protest against stand-up comedian Vir Das until he apologises for his "anti-India" comments made a year earlier while performing in the US, days after his gig in Bengaluru was postponed due to a right-wing uproar.

Ramesh Shinde, the national spokesperson for HJS, stated that regardless of where Das' show is taking place, his organisation will continue to organise protests against him. He was cited as adding, "If we don't protest against his statement, then it would suggest that we endorse what he had said."
According to the PTI report, Shinde charged the comedian of defaming India on a global scale and claimed that if Das apologised, "the situation would be gone."

As a result of accusations that his monologue "I come from two Indias" had defamed the nation, Das became embroiled in a significant controversy last year.

His Bengaluru performance was postponed at the last minute on Thursday, and Das explained the decision on Instagram by citing "unavoidable circumstances." Later, he posted a video on Twitter in which he addressed concerns about the information in his shows. "I'm a creative. The news shouldn't be featuring me. There are a lot of presumptions about my content. I believe that my audience and my art will speak for me. He tweeted, "#TrustTheAudience.
