India’s GDP growth is expected to be 9.1% in 2022, according to Goldman Sachs, a Wall Street company. After a steep 7% contraction in 2020, Goldman Sachs expects India’s economy to grow at 8% in 2021 and 9.1% in 2022, according to Goldman Sachs. It had previously been predicted that India’s economy will rise by 11.1 percent in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022. Consumption and investment are expected to be the main engines of success in 2022, according to the report.
In research, Goldman Sachs stated, “We expect consumption to be a key driver to growth in 2022, as the economy completely reopens, spurred by a notable improvement in the virus situation and adequate progress on vaccination.”
The firm also forecasts headline CPI inflation to rise to 5.8% in 2022 from 5.2 percent in 2021, owing to a rise in core inflation as manufacturers pass on higher input costs to consumers as demand rebounds with the full economic re-opening.
According to an SBI research report, the country’s GDP growth is expected to be around 8.1 percent in the second quarter of this fiscal year and in the range of 9.3-9.6 percent in fiscal years 2021-22 (FY22).

“The anticipated GDP growth for Q2FY22 is 8.1 percent, with an upward tendency, according to SBI’s Nowcasting Model. “The full-year (FY22) GDP growth is been increased upwards to 9.3-9.6%, up from our original estimate of 8.5-9.6%,” according to Ecowrap’s research study.
