A migrant labourer from Bihar was fatally shot by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora area on Friday, according to authorities, in yet another case of targeted killing of civilians in the region. They reported that the attack happened about midnight.
In Bandipora, in northern Kashmir, terrorists shot and killed a migrant labourer. Terrorists opened fire on labourer Mohammad Amrez, a native of Madhepura Besarh, Bihar, during the intervening night of August 11–12, injuring him in Soadnara Sumbal, Bandipora. Amrez was taken to a hospital, where his injuries caused him to die. It happened at roughly 1 am in the morning. From close range, shots were fired at him. The targeted killing occurs eight days after a grenade blast in the Gadoora neighbourhood of the Pulwama district in south Kashmir left one non-local labourer dead and two others injured. Additionally, the assault occurs the day after four Indian Army soldiers were killed in action while thwarting a suicide bombing attempt on an army camp in Rajouri.
