The Kashmir Files won hearts as well as the box office, earning over 15 crores in three days
The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, has not only captivated the hearts of the public, but has also proven to be a box office success. Despite its non-holiday release, the film’s promotion was minimal, and it faced stiff competition from Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam. Ticket sales for the Kashmir Files have increased dramatically. To far, the film has grossed Rs15.10 crore. The internet was swamped with recordings of moviegoers after they saw the film, as many of them felt extremely emotional after seeing it. Many people were unable to hold back their tears when they witnessed the plight of Kashmiri Pandits.
The Kashmir Files is a factual account based on video interviews with the first generation of Kashmiri Pandit Genocide survivors. It’s a heartbreaking story about Kashmiri pandits’ anguish, struggle, suffering, and trauma, and it raises important concerns about democracy, politics, and humanity.
The agony of Kashmiri pandits reverberated around the world, with the film grossing 2.15 crores at the global box office.
Meanwhile, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar stated in a tweet that he hasn’t seen the movie yet but plans to do so soon. The audience has responded positively to ‘The Kashmir Files,’ and the film is performing well at the box office.
Akshay was seen thanking the crowd for returning in big numbers to the theatres to see ‘The Kashmir Files.’ He penned, “@AnupamPKher, I’ve been hearing nothing but wonderful things about your performance in #TheKashmirFiles. It’s fantastic to see so many people return to the movies. I’m looking forward to seeing the movie. Jai Ambe.” wrote the actor.
