The band, Aattam Kalasamithi is one of the most popular percussion bands from Kerala. Their innovation on the traditional shinkari melam instrument (traditional orchestra) became one of the most recommended shows in wedding/corporate events.
The band was recognized by many when they performed at Christ College of Engineering, Irinjalaukuda, Kerala, the violin fusion and shinkari melam instrument use in the song of ‘Kannazhaga-The kiss of love” from 2011 released Tamil movie ‘Three’. The performance became a huge success with views of 22 million and the original music as well received 21 million on this song.
