A tense calm reigned at Mukroh village in the West Jaintia Hills four days after "trigger-happy" police officers and forest guards from Assam shot and killed five villagers there on Tuesday, despite the fact that four companies of central paramilitary forces have been deployed in the state to contain the law and order situation.
